Cialis is a prescription medication for adult men who have difficulty getting and/or keeping an erection ( erection deep in the brain). It is prescribed for severe medical conditions like angulation, epilepsy, myocardial infarction, or for mild upset stomach. In addition, Cialis contains Tadalafil which belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing more blood flow to the penis. This makes it easier during sexual activity and makes it easier to get an erection during sexual intercourse.
Cialis is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver or kidney problems. This medication is not approved for use in the combination of these conditions. Cialis should not be taken with alfuzosin or any other nitrate-based product including nitric oxide donor cGMP (guanylyl amideiyl-nitrite), nitric oxide, or nitroglycerin. Cialis may also may be associated with an increased risk of blood clots. These risks are increased in patients with pre-existing heart problems or low blood pressure.
Cialis should not be taken if you are taking riociguat. Cialis is used on a monotherapy or in combination with other drugs to treat erectile dysfunction. To be considered an eligible candidate, the doctor should be convinced that a desired improvement in sexual function is necessary.
Before taking Cialis, inform the doctor about any other medications or supplements you are taking. PDE5 inhibitors can have side effects such as headache, flushing, dizziness, and blurred vision. If you experience any of these, stop taking Cialis and contact the doctor immediately.

In addition, Cialis did not improve erections for at least 1 hour. These 30-day results did not provide any clinically meaningful information. Based on the 30-day results, the physician decided to prescribe Cialis for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
